We went up north....

Howdy!!!!

I bet you guys had a great weekend. I had mine pretty well. We went up north for a nite. In Sg. Petani, Kedah to be exact. DH had some meetings to attend, ended up 5 of us buckled up and off we went. We spent our nite here :

Our room was quite big. DH got it upgraded which was great coz we need extra room for our 3 kids to snuggle in. It has 2 sofas which we transformed them into comfy decent beds for both adam and sofie. While my missy snuggled between DH's and my ketiak :) -well, wattado..she's the most manja one. fullstop.

Kids had fun in the pool as usual. Missy was having flu and cough, hence only 'separuh badan jek yg masuk pool'. xpelah, as long as she had her fair share together with her bro and sissy.

We pusing2 pekan Sg. Petani at nite while searching for a decent place for dinner. And we ended up having dinner @ mamak's. again!!! coz we had nowhere to go. The pekan is quite 'mati' @ night. After nasi kandar kedah and maggi goreng sedap tapi pedas for sofie, we headed home.

but singgah at the bakery and bought 3 slices of nice and yummy cheese cakes. we ate 1 slice, the other 2 were in the fridge!! I forgot to take them home..such a waste! but i bet the hotel staff discovered the existence of the cheese cake, the moment they check the room after we left. memang rezqi dorang la kan. Halal.

Friday morning came. We had breakfast at the hotel coffee house. Food were okay. Variety and sedap la.

DH started his friday with a meeting. He left 4 of us at the hotel and went to the sg. petani's office in his colleague's car. I was left with 3 kiddos, nowhere to go..huhuu..

Went up, packed and waited for 10 am to come (coz shops normally open @ 10). Oh! by the way, missy broke a glass in the toilet while playing with water in the sink! my bad. should have taken the glass from her the moment i saw her holding it. but i was busy packing and changing, that i ignored her. I ended up paying RM 12 when checking out. nevermind! well, am not gonna pretend that nothing had happened.

Sg. Petani has nothing extravaganza to discover, really. So picked up DH and headed to Alor Setar for another meeting. We had a stop at a restaurant near sawah padi to have lunch. I luuuurrvveee their ikan bakar and air asam. pergh! sumpah sedap :)

Lolled around DH's meeting place. Watched tele, eating ice-cream (gosh! their service centre offers free ice-cream). Here are some pics of old buildings in Alor Setar..

DH finished his meeting at about 5, off we went home. stopped at Sg. Perak for dinner and solat maghrib. Missy and sofie had a great time at the playground. nice rest area for malaysians. Reached home at about 10.

Overall, it was a nice short trip up north!
